Gulf Coast Beachfronts Review: Where We Eat in Panama City Beach

Here at Gulf Coast Beachfronts, we are committed to not only providing you some of the best Panama City Beach condo rentals, we also want to make certain that everything is perfect during your stay. That is why once again our staff has risked their waistlines for the sake of research to visit some of the favorite restaurants in the area to give you our personal review. This list of our picks are some of the restaurants that you do not want to miss during your stay at one of our Panama City Beach condos, such as the beautiful Tidewater Beach Resort.

No one can deny that Panama City Beach offers some great nightlife, fine dining, and excellent high-end cuisine, but they also offer some great little places to grab a bite while you enjoy the sights during the day. With so many to choose from, it is hard to know which ones are best. The restaurants in this list are the ones that locals in the know love. They are a part of the community and give it its own personality. We would like to remind you that we have not been paid to review any of these restaurants and that this review reflects our own personal favorites and experience. We like to go the extra mile to make your stay at one of our Panama City Beach condos the best that it can be. These are just some great little local places to visit for breakfast, lunch and dinner while you enjoy your stay at one of the beautiful condos in Panama City Beach.

Saltwater Grill

Take a break from the beach and enjoy some excellent food at the Saltwater Grill. We like this place because if features a simple menu that is great for lunch or anytime. Some of our favorites include the lobster spring rolls, fried green tomatoes and crab meat, seared tuna with a fennel and coriander crust, and sautéed mushroom caps with crab meat. They feature an early bird menu that begins at 4 p.m. with savory juicy prime rib and honey glazed salmon. We think this is a great restaurant all around for a moderate price.

Nick’s Slice of Brooklyn Pizza

Even when you are staying at a one of the many condos in Panama City Beach, you still want a pizza night out sometimes. We definitely recommend Nick’s Slice of Brooklyn Pizza. The owner is from Brooklyn and offers authentic New York Italian pizzas. They offer a selection of classic pizza favorites and pasta dishes. Our favorite is Nick’s Margherita pizza. This is a great place for the whole family. Don’t worry, they are only a few steps from the beach, so you can work it off with a walk.

Fatty’s Sandwich Shop

If you are heading out for some deep-sea fishing, we recommend that you stop by Fatty’s Sandwich Shop to pick up a few to go. They are a quaint little local shop with a hippy beachy surfer vibe. It may have some fun quirky décor, but they get down to business when it comes to their sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, and pizza. We love their Heart Stopper with ham, turkey, salami, Müenster, and jalapeno Havarti. They also make a mean Rueben and working class Gyro. The sandwiches are huge and very tasty. You can order online so that the food will be ready when you get there, but you might want to plan to look around for a while, especially if you like 1970s rock memorabilia. They have quite an extensive collection. This is great food to put in your cooler for a day of fishing or picnicking.

Andy’s Flour Power Café & Bakery

This is a place you have to try if you are in the local area. Their specialty is breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and they are only open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not to mention, they were also voted the best café and bakery on Panama City Beach. You will understand why when you go there. Local favorites are their Flour Power French Toast with toasted nuts and fresh strawberries. They offer real maple syrup, nothing fake here. They have a selection of delectable omelets, sandwiches, and of course, their famous bakery items. The menu is no nonsense, but everything on it is excellent. The bakery includes key lime pie, walnut raisin bread, assorted cookies, Danishes, and pastries. This a no-nonsense restaurant, just simple good food at a great price. This is the perfect place to fuel up for a day of sightseeing, beach strolling, or visiting the local attractions.
